Start with the essentials
Choose realistic or anime styling, set an adult age and name, and work through the appearance and voice options. Then give the character a personality and a background that explain how they interact. A few compatible traits are easier to establish than a long list of conflicting ones.

Give personality details a job
Describe how the character behaves in a scene. Instead of adding only broad adjectives, give them a perspective, an interest and a reason to talk. A reserved museum guide who becomes animated about a favorite painting is easier to play consistently than someone described as every personality type at once.
Keep the setting fictional and all characters adult. We do not permit companions based on celebrities, public figures or private individuals.
Refine the character after creation
Character Studio is where supported appearance, details and personality controls live. Read the confirmation before changing a shared character, since an applied change can affect other chats that use that version. Public character changes have a separate review process.
Your companion and your persona are separate. Creating a persona does not replace the companion you designed.
Questions
Can I create an anime companion?
Yes. Anime is one of the appearance styles in character creation. Select it before choosing the visual details so the preview follows that style.
Can I find male or trans companions?
Our catalogue and scenario filters support more than female companions, including male and trans selections where shown. Use the current gender and style filters to find an AI boyfriend or another adult fictional companion.
Can I edit an existing personality?
Initial personality setup is part of creation. Editing an existing character's personality is an Ultimate feature, and public character updates use a review process.
Can I create a character based on a real person?
No. This includes public figures and private individuals. Create an original fictional adult identity instead.
Does creating a companion cost Moments?
Additional custom characters cost 500 Moments. Check the creator for your eligibility and any first-character offer before confirming. Free custom-character chat has a separate cap of 100 messages total, not a fresh 100-message allowance each day.
